In Loving Memory
Chet Helms

August 2, 1942 - June 25, 2005

Read Allen Cohen's eulogy from Chet's first passing in 2000

Backstage Past is proud to offer a collection of rare, original silver gelatin prints signed by photographer Grant Jacobs.

Grant Jacobs was fixture in the Haight Ashbury scene in the 1960s and member of the legendary Fell Street Gang who ran around with the Family Dog promoting concerts by young musicians who would shortly become household names: Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jerry Garcia...

Jacobs captured these rock icons in performance and candid shots that have festooned the walls of galleries around the world but have rarely been offered for sale. That is, until now.
